STEAMPlus is a camp of diverse experiences designed for students completing 6th and 7th grade. College professors and industry professionals facilitate each segment and will immerse students into a different career focused activity every two hours. The activities will include healthcare, technology, robotics, law, nutrition, fire science, psychology, biology, art, theater, music, and health and wellness. Students will need to bring their own unrefrigerated lunches. The PVCC Black Mountain campus is the main location but some actives take place at alternate sites. (The itinerary received before camp indicates drop-off and pickup locations per day. PVCC will provide transportation between sites.) Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) and Education & Community Services (ECS) are co-sponsors of this camp. Additional community partners include Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD), Desert Foothills YMCA, Desert Foothills Theater (DFT), Sonoran Arts League (SAL), and Foothills Community Foundations (FCF).
