Introduction to Python Programming (Gr 5-8) Students will learn the fundamentals of syntax-based programming and develop stories, games and animations using Python programming. The course engages students in creative problem solving and further develops computational thinking, and lays a strong foundation of programming fundamentals including variables, random, conditionals, loops, events and more. No prior coding experience is required to participate in this course. A computer or Chromebook with internet connectivity and mic (camera optional) is required to join the course. The class will be conducted via Zoom.

Introduction to Scratch Programming (Gr. 2-5) Students will learn the fundamentals of programming by designing stories, games and animations using Scratch. Students will get creative with designing their own characters, backdrops, sound effects and learn computational concepts of sequencing, decision-making, loops, events, modularity and more. No prior coding experience is required to participate in this course. A computer or Chromebook with internet connectivity and mic (camera optional) is required to join the course. The class will be conducted via Zoom.
