    This July, get your first grader excited for their year with “First Grade Here I Come”! This class will take all the things every first grader loves (think… games, play and challenges!) and meld those with all the essentials they’ll need for a great year (think… reading confidence and math fluency!). We’ll be finding what sparks the love of learning in your child and helping them soar! Instructor Ms. Klebosky! A parent presentation is available on April 6, so parents can review the lessons' content, meet the instructors and gain strategies and tips on how to continue the conversation at home. The title is “Let’s Talk” Parent Workshop.     “Let’s Talk” Parent Workshop: Having difficulty starting a conversation with your child lately? What would you have liked your parents to have done differently in terms of helping you understand adolescent issues? What values would you like to pass down to your children? Join us for this one-time, two-hour workshop for parents with youth in grades 3rd- 12th. During this workshop, we will discuss what adolescent issues and what “the talk” can look like, identify values you’d like to pass onto your children, and how we can communicate those values. We will also review the different stages of adolescence and practice how we can get our messages across to our children. Those who attend will leave better equipped on navigating these difficult conversations with their child.

Each day we’ll put on our imagination caps and complete a STEAM challenge inspired by the story. This class is perfect for any incoming first through second graders who love to tinker, explore and get creative!     All Levels Flow Participants will be guided through a series of yoga poses linking breath to movement. The class is suitable for yoga practitioners of all levels. Modifications and variations will be offered to allow for a practice that is both challenging and accessible. The practice will be breath-centered, allowing the opportunity to quiet the mind and be present in the moment. Please bring your own yoga mat.
