English Language Learning (ELL) summer classes combine fun activities with an English based curriculum for student learning the English language. Classes focus on learning new English vocabulary words, reading skills, spelling, correct pronunciation and speaking fluency. Join us as we "visit" different places (farm, zoo, grocery store, etc.) while learning through interactive language activities, games, images, sounds & video clips. Instructor: Andrea Gurri If you choose the transportation option and your child is not currently receiving transportation from Cave Creek Unified School District Buses, please contact the ECS Office for further information on obtaining the required permission forms for your child to ride the bus. The deadline for enrolling in this class to confirm transportation availability is May 22, 2024. Las clases se centran en aprender nuevas palabras del vocabulario en inglés, habilidades de lectura, ortografía, pronunciación correcta y fluidez al hablar. This course will review the foundations needed to be successful in math. We will review basic skills such as addition, subtraction, number sense, fractions, and simple word problems according to grade level. This hands-on course will integrate manipulatives, number talks and interactive games. Instructor: Andrea Gurri If your child does not qualify for a scholarship, this class is fee-based and requires payment by the Wednesday before the course begins. Payment instructions: Please pay $205 when you receive the invoice. The deadline to pay is May 28, 2024. The student will be removed from the roster if payment is not made on this date. If your child qualifies for a scholarship, you will not receive an invoice for payment. THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS IS MAY 28, 2024.

RAMP-UP READING classes allow students to ramp up their reading skills! The class provides instruction in vocabulary, root words, and other language fundamentals that lay the foundation for reading and comprehension according to the grade level. The environment will be fun, interactive, and center-based. The instructors are CCUSD teachers who are familiar with your child's reading curriculum during the school year. This class aims to strengthen each student's reading, reading comprehension, and vocabulary skills as appropriate for each grade level.
