    Chess Emporium Scholastic Program offers youngsters from Kindergarten through 6th grade a chance to learn about chess. Many of our students have gone on to rank in the top 50 nationally! Studies by major corporations and universities have shown that chess can help students increase their math and verbal skills, as well as their creative and critical thinking skills. Come join the club! Students learn quickly.     ECS Gymnastics is complete with uneven bars, tumbling mats, balance beams, springboards and much more! We pride ourselves on providing a safe environment while building the self-esteem, confidence and a progression in skill level of our students. All of our staff believe in safety being the first and foremost priority every day. ECS uses grade levels as an approximate guideline to place students. However, the instructor will place or may move a child to a different level based on his or her skill ability. We strive for the best fit and experience for your child. Returning students, please register for the level you were in last spring. Kindergarten students can begin in the Beginner Level. Students enrolled in one Session receive priority placement into the next Session. Beginning Session 2, one week prior to the first class of each session, registration opens up to new students as space is available. To check availability of a class, call the ECS Office at 480-575-2440. An additional waiver is needed when registering for the ECS Gymnastics program.   • Ramp Up Reading LMES Spring

    Ramp Up Reading class is a chance for students to ramp up their reading skills! The class provides instruction in vocabulary, root words and other language fundamentals that lay the foundation for reading and comprehension according to the grade level. The environment will be fun, interactive and center-based. The instructors are teachers from the same campus the classes are taught in order to benefit from collaboration with each student’s homeroom teacher. The objective of this class is to strengthen each student’s reading skills, reading comprehension and vocabulary skills. Instructor: Andrea King
