Education & Community Services

Children’s literature and learning about the different authors will be an essential part of this engaging, interactive month of learning. Students participate in conversations and related literacy activities to build language and communication skills during read-aloud stories. Music, musical instruments, art, and movement activities will also add fun and active play. Students will learn through play-based center activities, including manipulatives that introduce and reinforce numbers/counting, science-based activities, and creative hands-on projects. Group play and circle time will increase positive social interactions and keep young campers engaged and having fun while learning. Please enroll for the June or July Session, not both to allow more students the opportunity to participate in these programs. (Fee funded by AZ OnTrack) No class May 30th in observance of Holiday.

Kinder Prep Camp sets the foundation for students to enter Kindergarten (Fall 2022) with success. This class is designed to help children transition into a regular kindergarten classroom in a friendly, safe, and fun environment. Students will work on kindergarten readiness skills, including social skills, following directions, sharing, cooperative learning, taking turns, and increasing their foundational academic preparedness skills. Students will engage in hands-on activities that include art, music, free play, and gross and fine motor skills. Please enroll for the June or July Session, not both to allow more students the opportunity to participate in these programs. (Fee funded by AZ OnTrack). No class May 30th in observance of Holiday.
