Developing student’s Spanish language skills through real communication
Once a week, students from 3rd and 5th grades will develop their Spanish language skills through engaging communication activities, increasing their vocabulary and applying it in a real context.
This club allows students to work on their Spanish speaking skills in small groups through real conversations. There is an expected Spanish proficiency level for third and sixth-grade students. To meet this requirement, reinforcement is necessary.
The aim of this instructional time is to support the curriculum of the Spanish Immersion program so students can develop their Spanish conversational skills and improve their performance in the Spanish subjects they attend.
It will also help prepare them for future Spanish instruction as they progress into middle and high school.
