Developing student’s Spanish language skills through real communication
Once a week, students from 3rd and 5th grades will be able to develop their Spanish language skills through communication activities, acquiring different vocabulary and applying it in a real context.
This club allows students to work on their Spanish speaking skills in small groups, with real communication happening in a real context. There is an expected Spanish proficiency level for third and sixth-grade students. To meet this requirement, reinforcement is necessary.
The aim of this instructional time is to support the curriculum of the Spanish Immersion program. It will help students develop their Spanish conversational skills, improving their performance in the Spanish subjects they attend.
It will also help prepare them for future Spanish instruction as they progress into middle and high school.
