Do you love animals? Join us for a fun-filled trip through the zoo as we learn to cartoon a variety of amazing animals found around the world! Young artists will explore cartoon expressions, movement, exaggeration, and sequencing while creating humorous scenes and visual jokes featuring giraffes, elephants, bears, monkeys, lions, and more.
Children will complete several cartoon drawings each day while developing their creativity and storytelling skills. Students will also have the opportunity to practice public speaking by sharing their stories and artwork with the group each day, helping build confidence in communication, creativity, and self-expression. Students will transform their favorite zoo animal drawings into colorful masterpieces using soft pastels and layered artistic techniques for a new level of creativity every day. Art materials used throughout the workshop include pencils, Sharpies™, markers, colored pencils, and soft pastels. All supplies are included for each student every day and will be taken home at the end of camp so students can stay inspired and continue creating artwork throughout the summer.
