Horseshoe Trails Elementary School Musical
2026-2027 Fall Production
Welcome to the HTES Musical! I am so excited to bring musical theatre to Horseshoe Trails this year! Whether your child has been on stage before or is trying theatre for the very first time, this is an amazing opportunity to build confidence, make new friends, and experience the excitement of putting on a full musical together.
The HTES Musical is open to all 4th and 5th grade students. Every student who joins will be part of the cast! While not every student will receive a lead role, every performer plays an important part in making our production come to life. Throughout the semester, students will learn acting, singing, movement, stage presence, and teamwork while creating something they can be proud of. My hope is that every student leaves feeling more confident, more creative, and excited to perform.
Please Note: Students who would like to be considered for a speaking or featured role must also be enrolled in the HTES Choir.

Musical Expectations
Putting on a musical is truly a team effort! To help our cast have a successful and enjoyable experience, students are expected to:
•Attend rehearsals consistently. Every rehearsal is important because we’re constantly learning new music, choreography, and scenes. If your child will be absent, please let me know as soon as possible. We ask that students miss no more than three rehearsals whenever possible.
•Arrive on time and ready to participate. Students may begin arriving at 7:55 AM, and rehearsal begins promptly at 8:00 AM.
•Come ready to learn, encourage others, try new things, and give their best effort every rehearsal.
•Practice songs, lines, choreography, or other assigned material at home when needed.
•Follow all school and classroom expectations while showing kindness and respect to fellow cast members, costumes, props, and our rehearsal space.
•Attend all required dress rehearsals and the performance, as these are an important part of being in the production.
•Wear any required costume pieces or attire that will be communicated later in the semester.
•For the safety and focus of rehearsals, siblings who are not enrolled in the musical may not attend rehearsals.
I truly believe every child has something special to bring to the stage, and I can’t wait to watch our students grow in confidence and creativity throughout this experience. Thank you for supporting your child and helping make this an unforgettable production. It’s going to be an incredible semester, and I’m so excited to see our Stallions shine on stage!
