The ECS Quarterly Edgenuity Sessions are intended for credit retrieval courses only, unless a senior (12th-grade) student needs a course to meet graduation requirements.
Coursework, quizzes, and unit tests are completed at home. However, Prescriptive Test, Mid-Term Exam and Final Exam must be taken in person under supervision in the Edgenuity Computer Lab at Cactus Shadows High School during the lab hours listed above. The Mid-Term Exam cannot be bypassed.
If your child is unable to complete the required test and exams in person, please speak with the Cactus Shadows High School counselor to discuss alternative online course options.
Students may complete one course per quarterly session, earning 0.5 credit for each course completed, which is equivalent to one semester of coursework during the regular school year.
Students must complete their Prescriptive Test within the Prescriptive Test dates listed above or the course will be dropped and a refund is issued.
All coursework, quizzes, the Mid-Term Exam, and the Final Exam must be completed by the last day of the enrolled session or the student will receive an "F" on their transcript. Refunds are only available before the Prescriptive Test has been completed.
Students are responsible for emailing the course facilitator at least one day in advance to schedule their Prescriptive Test, Mid-Term Exam, and Final Exam during the posted lab dates and hours. The facilitator's contact information is included in the course syllabus, which is emailed to parents one business day before the session begins. Please note that facilitators are only scheduled to be in the Edgenuity Computer Lab during posted lab hours when a student has scheduled an appointment in advance.
ECS is not responsible for interruptions to course access on a student's personal device. If a student has trouble logging in or accessing course content, they must email the course facilitator before coming to the Edgenuity Computer Lab to determine whether the issue is related to the Edgenuity platform. Any technology issues unrelated to Edgenuity are the responsibility of the student's family.
Please contact the ECS Office M-F, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM at 480-575-2440 for assistance with registration. Contact your child’s counselor for course approval information. The ECS office is located on the CCUSD District Office campus. Thank you for choosing ECS Edgenuity for credit retrieval opportunities.
