Adventures in Theater (June 1-11)
This class is a fun way to experience theatre while learning or improving basic theater skills. Students will be engaged in theatre games, activities, improv, and creating short skits. This class will be a fun and exciting way to improve public speaking skills, manage stage fright, and make new friends. -
Ballet and Jazz Techniques (G 3-6)
3rd-6th Ballet and Jazz Technique Students will learn both ballet and jazz techniques during class. The class time will be split in half so that students can learn both of these techniques during the given time. In ballet, we will focus on technique both during warm-ups and across the floors. Creative Writing: Myths and Monsters (G 4-6)
Calling all Monsters! Calling all Heroes! Calling all Writers, Artists, Historians, Scientists, Mythologists, and Theater Buffs. Come explore Worlds, where Gods and Goddesses challenge their humans to engage with formidable foes, timeless innovations, ruinous punishments, and pure justice. Act, read, write, recreate myths from varied cultures and leave with a work that the Gods, too, would be proud of. Fantasy Baseball Managers
Students create their own Baseball Team! Key math concepts including fractions, decimals, and percentages become an important part of managing their own baseball team using real baseball player's stats. -
Imagination Station: Drawing & Painting with Mixed Media (G K-2)
Each day, students create beautiful masterpieces while exploring abstract, realistic, and whimsical mosaics, artistic styles as well as freestyle inspired by famous artists. The class time will begin with an introduction to the artistic style-of-the-day and step-by-step instructions. The instructor and the students will then work together to complete and celebrate their finished pieces of art.
