    “Let’s Talk (Health & Development)”: Lots of changes are happening during adolescence but you’re not alone. Join us as we have healthy chats discussing personal hygiene and how we develop and change as we go through adolescence. Gain new knowledge and make friends in the process. This presentation is geared for 3rd-6th graders. Boys and girls are able to register for the same program but will be separated into two different presentations. A parent presentation is available on April 6, so parents can review the lessons' content, meet the instructors and gain strategies and tips on how to continue the conversation at home. The title is “Let’s Talk” Parent Workshop.   • "Let's Talk" Parent Workshop

    “Let’s Talk” Parent Workshop: Having difficulty starting a conversation with your child lately? What would you have liked your parents to have done differently in terms of helping you understand adolescent issues? What values would you like to pass down to your children? Join us for this one-time, two-hour workshop for parents with youth in grades 3rd- 12th. During this workshop, we will discuss what adolescent issues and what “the talk” can look like, identify values you’d like to pass onto your children, and how we can communicate those values. We will also review the different stages of adolescence and practice how we can get our messages across to our children. Those who attend will leave better equipped on navigating these difficult conversations with their child.

    All Levels Flow Participants will be guided through a series of yoga poses linking breath to movement. The class is suitable for yoga practitioners of all levels. Modifications and variations will be offered to allow for a practice that is both challenging and accessible. The practice will be breath-centered, allowing the opportunity to quiet the mind and be present in the moment. Please bring your own yoga mat.   • Cactus Shadows Falcons "Next Up" Football Camp (Grade 7-8) CSHS - 4/18-5/16

    Getting Ready for Next Season: Camp will be held on the field including team and individual sessions. Our football focused training will be offensive and defensive fundamentals and overall skills to help in learning field play development. Camp will be instructed by Cactus Shadows Coaching Staff.
  • Chess Emporium BMES (Spring)

    Chess Club teaches a fun and exciting introduction to the game of chess. Club begins by teaching students how to play the game, chess openings, tactics, and endgames. Students will practice what they learn each week in games with their friends. Studies by major corporations have shown that chess can help students improve their math and verbal skills, creative abilities, and critical thinking abilities. Chess provides helpful insights into mathematics, visualization, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Falcon Youth Wrestling Club (Grade 1-3) STMS - 4/10-5/8

    Falcon Youth Wrestling Club: Wrestling builds self-esteem, instills confidence, and develops discipline and physical fitness unlike any other sport. The Falcon Youth Wrestling Club provides age appropriate exercises for building strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. Learn through play, games, and competition. Understand the basic rules and fundamental techniques of wrestling. Opportunities to compete in low-pressure situations within our own wrestling room. There are also optional tournaments to attend. Youth Wrestling t-shirt Included. Gear Requirements: Wrestlers are required to wear wrestling shoes and appropriate attire (athletic shirts and shorts, no hoodies, metal zippers, large pockets, or baggy clothes).     The Mileage Running Crew is a class that will train students in many running activities that support overall health and increase endurance for involvement in other athletic programs. The students will learn the basic fundamentals in running, while enjoying and celebrating the sport of running.
